Big Data And Java Developer

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements
• resolve high-impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the architecture blueprint
• utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards
• develop comprehensive knowledge of business areas to accomplish goals
• provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• assess risk when making business decisions to safeguard Citigroup and ensure compliance

• Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on development experience
• at least 5 years of working as a lead developer on JAVA backends
• understanding of design patterns and hands-on coding skills
• understanding of latest Java versions along with Executor patterns, Stream API, Lambda
• deep understanding of data structures
• understanding of Linux, Bash, and basic scripting
• understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL, Columnar Databases, and file formats like Parquet, Avro, ORC, Iceberg
• experience working on Microservice Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration
• working experience with telemetry tools like Open Telemetry, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus
• understanding of MQ and Kafka
• prior work experience in Capital Markets trade processing is a plus
• ability to adjust priorities quickly
• demonstrated leadership and project management skills
