Our client, a prestigious, award-winning mid-tier builder in Adelaide, is looking for a Bids & Proposals Manager to lead their front-end project procurement and submission strategy. This is a newly created, high-impact role designed for a construction professional who understands the 'how' of building. You will be a key bridge between the Estimating team and Project Delivery, ensuring every proposal is technically sound, commercially sharp, and operationally viable.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Bid Leadership: Manage the end-to-end submission process for EOI, RFT, and RFP phases across commercial, institutional, and high-end residential sectors
Methodology & Staging: Collaborate with project teams to develop and articulate clear construction methodologies, site logistics, and project staging narratives
HSEQ & Compliance: Ensure all submissions accurately reflect the company’s robust safety, environmental, and quality management systems
Subcontractor & Consultant Coordination: Work with external partners to gather technical inputs and ensure alignment with the overall project delivery strategy
Strategic Review: Analyze tender documents to identify key project risks and opportunities, ensuring the proposal addresses specific client pain points
Continuous Improvement: Develop a library of technical responses, project profiles, and CVs that demonstrate the firm’s award-winning delivery capability
Requirements:
Construction Background: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field is highly regarded
Industry Experience: 5+ years within the Australian Building Construction industry (Tier 2 or Mid-Tier preferred)
Technical Literacy: The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural specs, and project programs (MS Project/Asta)
Strategic Communication: Strong technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex construction concepts for various stakeholders
Systems Proficiency: Experience with InDesign is a plus, but your mastery of MS Word, Excel, and Project is essential
