Job Description:

Avantor is looking for a Bids and Proposal Specialist. This role is full-time remote, based anywhere in Canada.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead bid projects and manage proposal timelines
  • Create, write, edit, and format proposals and presentations under tight deadlines
  • Apply project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams (Commercial Operations, Business Development, Technical, Finance, Leadership)
  • Prepare responses to RFIs and collaborate with SMEs for technical content
  • Maintain and update templates, sales collateral, and proposal libraries
  • Ensure quality control through proofreading and formatting
  • Manage proposal software platform and keep resources current
  • Conduct client research using CRM tools to support business development
  • Demonstrate Avantor’s mission and uphold the Avantor Code of Conduct
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum 2 years in proposal development, project management or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of business terminology
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who thrives independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Background in biotech/pharma or distribution/manufacturing environments
  • Technical writing experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
