Reporting to our Work Winning Portfolio Lead, you will provide advice and coaching to bid teams across the entire bid process from the engagement and pursuit stages through to bidding and debrief. As a key member of our Winning Work team, you will be responsible for hands-on involvement in major opportunities, alongside our technical teams and client leaders on key bids. We will rely on your hands-on bid and proposal management approach to effectively support the development of strategic proposals. The role requires an innovative and responsive self-starter who is comfortable with reaching into the wider organisation, researching content requirements, and finding opportunities for innovative and creative ways of sharing our story to clients. In return, you will work alongside a proven team of bid professionals, with access to creative support.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting Portfolio Leaders and Senior Bid Specialists in providing Winning Work services within allocated portfolios
Championing the Aurecon Methodology from proposal planning until submission. This includes creating response templates, formatting, collating and proofreading proposals and related collaterals.
Researching, gathering, updating, editing and consolidating non-technical information such as corporate information, CVs, project sheets, capability statements, boilerplates and other standard proposal related collaterals
Ensuring documents are well-structured, organised and well written (grammar and spelling)
Ensuring that the layout, packaging and formatting comply with Aurecon brand guidelines
Developing basic graphics or liaising with the visual design team to ensure that proposals are compelling and well-presented
Performing data and information assessments to identify trends in successful proposals/tenders/bids and projects
Supporting the bid team in pursuit activities, as necessary
Ensuring sound relationships with all stakeholders
Actively participating and/or leading continual improvement initiatives related to Winning Work
Providing ad hoc services including trends and competitor research, etc.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of relevant experience within a proposal or related environment
engineering and proposals management/coordination background/experience is a plus
Actual experience in document preparation, management and control
Demonstrates strong writing and editing skills
tertiary qualification in communication, journalism, marketing, business management, marketing, or related field preferable
Advanced skills in using the MS Office suite especially in Word, Powerpoint and Excel
knowledge in InDesign/Photoshop is a plus
Can work on tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks under pressure
Can prioritise and self-manage workload
Can communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of an organisation
Demonstrates keen attention to detail
Able to present information in a logical and compelling manner
Has led improvement initiatives with proven outcomes
