The Bid Manager - Sales is responsible for managing the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other client inquiries. This role involves close collaboration with Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals that align with client needs and business objectives. The Bid Manager also plays a key role in supporting revenue operations and pre-sales activities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full lifecycle of RFPs, RFIs, and bid submissions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives
Draft, review, and consolidate proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance
Develop and maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and best practices to streamline future submissions
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Revenue Operations, and Legal, to gather necessary information for bid responses
Work closely with revenue operations teams to track bid success rates and identify areas for improvement
Support pre-sales efforts by creating tailored proposal content, pitch decks, and presentations
Assist in developing sales strategies by analyzing past bid performance and competitive insights
Ensure alignment between sales proposals and pricing strategies
Liaise with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to develop technical and solution-oriented responses
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals
Facilitate internal bid review meetings, ensuring alignment with business priorities
Establish and improve bid management processes and best practices
Ensure compliance with internal governance, legal, and regulatory requirements for all bid submissions
Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and related documentation
Own the process and make sure timelines for submission are followed
Requirements:
Strong understanding of RFP/RFI processes and proposal management best practices
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management tools
10+ years of experience in bid management, sales support, pre-sales, or revenue operations
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
MBA preferred

Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
