Job Description:

Artelia Airports provides a wide range of Design, Consultancy and Construction Supervision Services related to Airport Architecture, Planning and Engineering. The Bid Manager will be in charge of preparing bid and commercial offers to Clients either for unsolicited offers or response to Request for Proposals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Facilitate bidding strategies
  • Support the mapping of partners and competitors
  • Coordinate the overall bid submission process (technically/financially /contractually)
  • Development of submissions in line with the bid requirement including drafting and reviewing bid text
  • Prepare and manage the bid budget, including needed technical resources with the Heads of Practice
  • Prepare all Bid technical elements for approval
  • Collate all Bid contractual elements for approval
  • Prepare all Bid financial elements for approval
  • Ensure the submission of bids on time and to the required quality
  • Production of bid submission matrices identifying individual responsibilities for every section
  • Produce and agree the bid program identifying key dates for the submission of information, review dates, deadlines and production of the bid
  • Coordinate the formatting of the document with the submission team
  • Monitor receipt of information from authors against the submission matrix and ensure information is received on time
  • Collate feedback from bid reviews and distribute to authors
  • Attending from time to time meeting with the Clients and Business developers
  • Define design requirements for the tender if required, in liaison with the Heads of Practice
  • Maintain a knowledge of alternative technical solutions with a view to being able to resolve tender with innovative solutions
  • Participating in improving the bid tools of the Company (Lessons Learnt in particular)

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of total experience, preferably with at least 2 years on Airport / large transportation projects
  • Architecture or Engineering Degree (Bachelor equivalent or above) in one or more of the following fields: Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP or Systems
  • Ability to create opportunities before tendering, during negotiation and presentation phase
  • Well-developed analytical, presentation/communication and negotiation skills
  • High emphasis on quality and correctness of the production
  • Displays high degree of confidentiality on documents, customers, data or any Company related information
  • Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken, another language would be a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
  • Knowledge or ability to learn fast international legal, business and financial principles, on top of technical broad understanding

Nice to have:

Proven success in preparing and winning bids/tenders of large infrastructure projects would be beneficial
