BI Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business needs
• Create and manage paginated reports using SSRS and Power BI Report Builder
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, providing analytical insights and developing custom reports
• Write efficient T-SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting purposes
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, and create data integration workflows using SSIS
• Participate in the migration of reports and data sources from SSRS to Power BI
• Liaise with legal colleagues, IT, and other departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality BI solutions
• Assist in implementing data governance practices using tools like MS Purview
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including data sources, data models, and report structures
• Take ownership on any other tasks and responsibilities as required

• Proven experience in developing BI solutions, especially with Power BI
• Strong T-SQL skills for creating and managing complex queries
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights
• Experience in migrating reports and data sources from SSRS to Power BI is a plus
• Familiarity with Azure data platforms and MS Purview is desirable
• Understanding of legal terminology and processes is beneficial but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
• Meticulous in data validation and quality assurance
• Able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment
