Job Description

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer with hands-on experience in Amazon QuickSight, SQL, and AWS data analytics tools to support reporting, dashboard development, and business intelligence initiatives. This role will focus on transforming complex data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards, KPI reporting, and visual analytics. The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing QuickSight solutions, working with AWS data sources, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver actionable reporting and operational metrics.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Amazon QuickSight
  • Create and maintain datasets, calculated fields, parameters, filters, controls, and drill-down reporting capabilities
  • Integrate QuickSight with AWS data sources including Athena, S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, and DynamoDB
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for reporting, data analysis, and performance improvements
  • Design executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and operational reporting solutions based on business requirements
  • Implement and maintain QuickSight security, including user access controls, group permissions, row-level security, and column-level security
  • Analyze business data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making
  • Support dashboard testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user training
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and develop effective solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight
  • Minimum 2 years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Amazon Athena
  • Experience working with AWS cloud-based data and analytics services
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and reporting methodologies
  • Ability to translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards and reports
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting Medicaid programs or healthcare-related environments
  • Experience with Amazon Connect (AWS Connect)
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift
  • Familiarity with AWS Glue, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3 data integrations
  • Experience creating executive-level reporting and operational performance dashboards
