Job Description

Buckman is seeking a strong IT professional with deep expertise in Qlik Reports and Business Analytics. This role involves working closely with business users and IT teams to understand business and technical requirements that drive the analysis, design, and development of quality technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies while adhering to the organization’s architectural standards. The BI Analyst - Qlik will be responsible for application analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement, as well as addressing complex support issues. In addition to technical expertise, this position will be a key driver of Business Intelligence (BI) adoption across the organization. This includes managing the implementation of the BI roadmap, collaborating with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for new or enhanced analytics solutions, and proactively proposing innovative ways to meet business needs through data. The role also includes delivering end-user training, hosting webinars, and providing documentation to ensure users are empowered to make data-driven decisions. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as this position serves as a bridge between business needs and technical execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and publish Qlik Sense apps to Qlik Cloud with proper tagging, access controls, and resource allocation
  • Manage application lifecycle through versioning, automated reloads, and environment promotion (e.g., Dev → Test → Prod)
  • Configure and monitor Qlik Cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with organizational governance policies
  • Design and maintain efficient data models in Qlik Sense that support accurate, high-performance dashboards and reporting
  • Apply best practices in data normalization, scripting, and transformation to optimize memory usage and processing speed
  • Establish secure and reliable connections to various enterprise data sources including SAP BW, SAP ECC, SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Dynamics, and Azure-hosted SQL Servers
  • Develop reusable data connectors and load scripts to streamline integration and promote consistency across applications
  • Build intuitive, interactive dashboards that align with business needs and enable self-service analytics
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and use cases that drive data-informed decisions

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience as an IT professional with broad IT exposure
  • 5+ years’ experience in Qlik Sense and Qlik View applications
  • Good understanding of data modeling, complex database schemas, and Qlik's associative data model
  • ERP and Business Systems Knowledge (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in design and implementation of data models, scripts, and load processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
  • Advanced analytical/trouble-shooting skills
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
