Job Description

Provides friendly, excellent service to all guests. Serves meals and/or beverages to patrons in dining establishment, lounge, showroom, banquet hall, pool, hotel room or gaming floor, wherever assigned.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides friendly, excellent service to all guests
  • serves meals and/or beverages to patrons
  • ensures excellent customer service for every guest
  • greets guests, presents menu, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and beverages
  • writes order on check or memorizes it
  • relays order to kitchen and serves courses
  • garnishes and decorates dishes
  • observes diners to respond to requests
  • acts immediately on all customer comments
  • totals bill and accepts payment
  • sets up and supplies beverage area
  • removes soiled glassware
  • makes coffee
  • adds ice and changes soft drink containers
  • maintains cleanliness of designated areas
  • responsible for renewal of Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
  • ensures work areas are free from hazards
  • attends bi-annual Arizona state liquor law training
  • performs bottle service according to mandated steps
  • maintains up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements
  • follows PCI Compliance regulations
  • enforces all applicable regulations under Title 31

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • previous serving experience
  • knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws - Title 4
  • working knowledge using electronic point of sale (POS) systems
  • must be at least 21 years of age (Beverage Server)
  • must possess a Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
  • pleasant personality
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to follow verbal and written instruction
  • good verbal and written communication skills

  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
