The beverage cart attendant will be the beverage go to for all our guests enjoying a day at our Private Beach. This position is responsible for taking guest drink orders, serving beverages, preparing itemized checks, and responsible for accepting payments. May perform additional duties, which may include serving guests that may be seated in proximity to the beach setting up and clearing beach seating sets. They also check the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol. Responsible for providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner.
Job Responsibility:
Perform opening and closing duties according to established side-work checklist
Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials
Ensure quality control of menus regarding cleanliness and appearance
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
Greet guests in a timely manner
Be attentive of guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant beach experience
Collect money and/or credit cards from guests and make the correct change
Operate the approved point of sale software on a tablet style POS
Prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Always comply with Timber’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
Attending meetings and training as required by management
Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for resort guests
Following proper TIPS Guidelines
Delivering guest their items ordered, emphasizing on accuracy and efficiency
Answering taking to-go orders / Running food if necessary
Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations
Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
Cleaning, stocking, organization of beverage cart daily
Setting up and/or breaking down the register/cash drawer, drink coolers, and potentially umbrellas/tables
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred
Background with serving, basic bartending, cashiering is a plus
Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed
Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL
Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations)
Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
