Job Description:

Bestpets is the UK’s leading pet product wholesaler offering over 8000 lines available in 17 depots nationwide. We’re looking for a customer-focused Regional Sales Manager to help drive and develop profitable sales from within the region and ensure the achievement of our sales targets. You’ll manage customer accounts within the North East area, maximising sales opportunities within the customer base as well as developing new business. Consistently promoting exceptional customer service, you’ll develop strong relationships with customers as well as our depot teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maximising profitable sales in the area whilst maintaining a high level of professional and ethical standards
  • Creating a core group of customers as key trading accounts in conjunction with the relevant General Manager
  • Managing a journey plan that covers all customers in the defined area
  • Ensuring customers are kept up to date with all Marketing communications, new lines etc
  • Work with key suppliers to develop sales and other initiatives with specific customer accounts within the area
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand, building customer relationships and growing market share
  • Supporting the Regional Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable exceptional sales skills in the specialist pet market
  • Exceptional knowledge of product areas
  • Highly organised with great planning skills and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal and written
  • Strong time management skills
  • Demonstrable effective and engaging relationship building skills
  • Commercially focused and committed to achieving targets
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to prepare monthly reports
