R.Power is one of the largest independent renewable energy companies in Europe. Due to the company’s growth, we are looking for: BESS Technical Project Manager

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the technical delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from concept to Commercial Operation Date (COD)
  • Own the BESS system architecture, including battery configuration, PCS (grid-forming / grid-following) and EMS/SCADA integration
  • Manage technical interfaces between BESS scope, EPC contractors and BoP suppliers
  • Coordinate and technically supervise BESS technology suppliers (OEMs)
  • Prepare, review and approve technical specifications and Employer’s Requirements
  • Provide technical leadership during negotiations of BSA, LTSA, performance KPIs, warranties and liquidated damages
  • Ensure compliance with grid codes (NC ER), TSO/DSO requirements and lender requirements
  • Oversee FAT, SAT, performance testing, commissioning and handover
  • Identify, assess and mitigate technical and contractual risks
  • Report technical project status to senior management and key stakeholders

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, automation or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy or industrial projects, ideally BESS or power electronics (PCS, inverters)
  • Strong, practical knowledge of BESS technology (battery systems, PCS, EMS)
  • Proven experience working with EPC contractors and BoP suppliers
  • Experience preparing and negotiating technology contracts
  • Fluent English (B2/C1) – technical documentation and negotiations
  • Experience in project finance / lender-driven projects
  • Knowledge of grid codes and standards (NC ER, NCRfG, TSO/DSO requirements)
  • Experience in utility-scale BESS projects
