Job Description:

Model, optimize, and operate batteries across Europe to influence how hybrid solar + storage projects are structured, dispatched, and monetized. Shape the commercial strategy of the battery portfolio and impact the energy transition.

Job Responsibility:

Lead modeling of expected and historical BESS revenues across markets and services
Assess revenue stacking opportunities to maximize returns and reduce portfolio risks
Support investment decisions with revenue modeling and commercial insights
Track and interpret market and regulatory developments impacting storage revenues
Collaborate internally across investment and operations to integrate batteries into Alight’s portfolio strategy
Manage relationships with BSPs/BRPs and oversee dispatch/operations as needed

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in the energy sector, with hands-on exposure to BESS, energy markets, or trading
Strong understanding of revenue stacking: arbitrage, ancillary services, frequency containment, solar load shifting
Proven ability to model and analyze grid-connected batteries in active power markets
Familiarity with BSP/BRP operations
Strong analytical and commercial mindset, connecting technical performance with financial outcomes
Solid knowledge of dispatch optimization, degradation, and risk management in merchant markets
Advanced Excel skills
Clear communicator, collaborative team player, and proactive problem solver

Nice to have:

Python/R or Power BI skills
Experience with BSP/BRP operations
