We are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Sleepy Hollow, New York. This position focuses on providing essential support in the areas of employee benefits and recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, as well as hands-on experience in recruitment processes, including onboarding tasks. This role requires someone who is attentive to detail and can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while ensuring high-quality service to employees.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including leave policies, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their healthcare benefits enrollment
Assist with recruitment efforts to alleviate workload, including tasks such as candidate onboarding and verifying employment eligibility documentation (i9s)
Conduct benefits analysis to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational policies
Coordinate with internal departments to streamline benefits-related transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping
Address employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits promptly and effectively
Monitor and report on benefits utilization and trends to support decision-making processes
Collaborate with HR teams to support overall workforce management initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while handling benefits and recruitment tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience in benefits administration and coordination
Familiarity with recruitment processes and onboarding procedures
Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations, including FMLA
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees and teams
Proficiency in managing sensitive and confidential information
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for benefits analysis
Previous HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years preferred
