We are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid background in benefits administration.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings
Coordinate COBRA administration processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Handle leave of absence requests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies
Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate processing of compensation and benefits
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and issues
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all benefits-related transactions
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze, track, and report benefits data
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in benefits coordination or a related role
Familiarity with compensation and benefits structures and processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented approach to managing documentation and compliance
Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits
