We are looking for a dedicated Benefits Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chevy Chase, Maryland. This part-time role will involve providing critical support for benefits administration and coordination during a medical leave period. The position requires a strong understanding of compensation and benefits processes to ensure the seamless delivery of services to employees.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee employee benefit programs, including enrollment, updates, and terminations
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to benefits administration, including FMLA
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide timely resolutions
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline benefit processes and communications
Conduct detailed benefits analysis to ensure competitive offerings and identify potential areas for improvement
Maintain accurate records and documentation of employee benefit information
Support the implementation of benefit-related initiatives or changes as needed
Monitor ongoing benefit programs to ensure efficiency and compliance
Provide training or guidance to employees to enhance their understanding of available benefit options
Requirements:
Proven experience in benefits administration or a related field
Strong knowledge of FMLA regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in benefits analysis and coordination
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
Familiarity with compensation and benefits systems and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
