Benefits Specialist

• Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
• Support and help coordinate annual open enrollment, including employee communications, meetings, and system updates
• Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution
• Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems
• Partner with brokers and vendors to ensure accurate plan administration
• Assist with benefits compliance, reporting, and audits as needed
• Maintain accurate benefits documentation and employee records
• Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes and employee understanding

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role
• Experience using Paycor for benefits administration, employee data management, and open enrollment support
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits and applicable regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Office
• Background checks and other pre-employment requirements apply

• Benefits or HR certification a plus
• Experience in a nonprofit or people services environment a plus
