Job Description

The Manager, Total Rewards – Americas supports the effective administration and continuous improvement of Belden’s U.S. health, welfare, and retirement programs, while providing benefits coordination support for Canada and Mexico. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards – Americas, this role focuses on operational execution, compliance, vendor management, and employee experience, with opportunities to contribute insights and recommendations to ongoing program enhancements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, process improvements, and ensuring programs run smoothly and compliantly across the region.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer and maintain U.S. health & welfare plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellbeing), ensuring accuracy and strong employee support
  • Partner with vendors and brokers to oversee day‑to‑day service delivery and resolve escalated issues
  • Ensure U.S. plan compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and related regulations
  • Support retirement plan operations, including 401(k) compliance activities, audit support, and coordination with external partners
  • Assist HR teams in Canada and Mexico with benefits renewals, plan updates, and vendor coordination, ensuring alignment with corporate practices
  • Help prepare benefits communications, enrollment materials, and manager/employee guidance
  • Partner with HR, HRIS, and vendors to improve processes, enhance data quality, and support operational efficiency
  • Contribute analytical insights and recommendations as part of ongoing program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in U.S. benefits, including health/welfare and retirement programs
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other compliance requirements
  • Strong vendor‑management and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex benefits information for employees and managers
  • Comfort working independently while partnering closely with the Director on priorities and decisions
