Job Description

At Wise, we’re building a world without borders, and that mission starts with our people. We are looking for an Americas Benefits Manager to join our Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, you won’t just be "administering" plans; you’ll be a key architect in executing our Global Benefits strategy across a diverse and fast-growing region. You will ensure that Wise’s employee benefits are not only compliant and competitive but world-class; attracting, retaining, engaging, and recognizing the right people to fuel our global mission. You will operate with a global mindset, navigating ambiguity and making decisions that balance specific regional needs with our broader Total Rewards philosophy.

Job Responsibility

  • Vendor & Partner Management: Partner with global brokers, pension consultants, flexible benefits administrators and local vendors to manage renewals, pricing, and contracts—proactively troubleshooting issues before they impact the Wiser experience
  • Data-Driven Benchmarking: Conduct regular analysis of market trends and claims utilization to ensure our packages remain competitive and financially sustainable
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all programs comply with local regulations and Wise’s global policies, staying ahead of legislative changes that impact our offerings
  • Communication & Education: Work with Internal Comms to deliver education plans that empower Wisers to maximize the value of their benefits
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with People Partners, People Operations teams, Payroll, and Finance to align benefits with talent goals and budget management

Requirements

  • Experienced Benefits Professional: You have a proven track record managing international insured benefits (Healthcare, Risk, Retirement, Flex) within a fast-paced environment
  • Solutions-Focused & Agile: You thrive in evolving situations and are comfortable driving key benefits initiatives
  • Data-Driven: You are proficient in using data, facts, and insights to evaluate program effectiveness and inform your approach
  • Collaborative & Globally Aware: You are skilled at building relationships across geographies, influencing without hierarchy, and balancing local needs with global impact
  • Customer-Driven: You are always thinking about how to automate and improve the Wiser experience, working more impactful and smarter, not harder
  • Resilient Change Agent: You are motivated to challenge the status quo and support organizational growth with pragmatism and steadiness

Nice to have

  • Financial / Tech Services Experience: Deep insight into the commercial landscape of the fintech or finance world
  • Consulting Background: Experience in a consulting environment is a plus but not a requirement
