We are looking for a dedicated Benefits Coordinator to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Job Responsibility:
Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
Manage COBRA processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines
Coordinate leave of absence requests, providing guidance and support to employees throughout the process
Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, offering clear and accurate information
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to streamline benefits processes and resolve issues
Maintain up-to-date records of benefits enrollment and changes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Conduct regular reviews of benefits programs to optimize offerings and align with organizational goals
Support compliance efforts by monitoring changes in laws and regulations affecting employee benefits
Assist with benefits-related reporting and documentation as required
Provide training and resources to employees to increase understanding of available benefits
Requirements:
Proven experience in benefits administration or coordination, preferably in a non-profit or similar environment
Strong understanding of COBRA regulations and leave of absence management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders
Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality
Proficiency in using benefits management systems or software
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records
Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations affecting employee benefits
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
