Robert Half HR Solutions team is partnered with a fast-growing, fast-paced organization to identify a Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll Manager to lead total rewards programs across multiple states. This role balances responsibilities across three critical areas—Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation—ensuring programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business goals. The position works in close collaboration with the HR Manager and executive leadership team and supports initiatives across multiple states within a dynamic M&A environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and optimize health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and other employee benefit programs across multiple states
Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits inquiries, resolving employee questions and concerns
Partner with vendors and internal teams to evaluate, enhance, and communicate benefits offerings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations, including multi-state requirements
Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across multiple states
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable tax, labor, and multi-state payroll laws
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and collaborate with finance for reporting and audits
Support year-end payroll processes and filings, including M&A-related integrations
Develop and maintain competitive compensation structures, job grades, and salary bands across multiple locations
Conduct market benchmarking and salary analyses to ensure equity and competitiveness
Provide guidance on promotions, merit increases, and incentive programs
Support compensation considerations during M&A activities and integration of new teams
Advise managers and employees on compensation policies and practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in benefits management, payroll operations, and compensation strategy
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and improve benefits programs
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with leadership and vendors
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting multi-state operations and navigating compliance requirements
Proficiency in benefits analysis and coordination
Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in compensation and rewards systems
