Job Description:

Provide support to the Executive Director, Insurance Group Administrator and Insurance Group Coordinator in all aspects of administering health/dental/life/vision insurance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Primary person to process enrollment/change forms for 31 groups including analyzing and evaluating the eligibility of employees and dependents including ex-spouses, qualifying events, and out of the ordinary situations
  • Work with member units to obtain correct information, follow up on outstanding issues in a timely manner
  • Work with insurance companies regarding subscriber/member enrollment issues
  • Log all enrollment transactions
  • Responsible for supporting the team with Wellness initiatives
  • Maintain employee acknowledgement form files
  • Calculate, balance, prepare and deliver payments received for deposit
  • Distribute rate information, comparison of benefits, and MMHG guidelines
  • Enforce the MMHG Employer/Employee Guidelines
  • Distribute supplies to municipal employer units
  • General office duties such as answering telephone, filing, postage, faxing, etc.
  • Scan all previous year enrollment forms
  • Meeting room Set up/breakdown
  • Fiscal year file turnover
  • Travel to Plymouth County to drop off deposits one to two times per week
  • Pick up deliver interoffice mail as needed
  • Attend annual health fairs
  • Log and maintain all enrollment missing information – sending to towns for all missing information on a weekly basis
  • Attend offsite meetings as requested
  • Email monthly health/dental/vision invoices
  • Manage monthly invoices to ensure payment
  • Monthly log of subscribers by plan/member unit
  • Manage and coordinate all Medicare eligible subscribers
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Manage Wellness prizes as needed
  • Audit of administration counts & monthly group numbers
  • Reconcile monthly treasurer reports to MMHG schedules
  • Manage and coordinate Cobra enrollments/cancellations from Flex
  • Manage and maintain members turning age 65/over age 65
  • Manage and maintain the dependent(s) report
  • Scan monthly MMHG invoices, email and file
  • Scan old files

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions, laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work together as a team and also independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Access, Outlook, Insurance company’s online enrollment
  • Must be able to perform confidential assignments and troubleshoot complex insurance problems
  • Considerable knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, MMHG rules and regulations and has the ability to keep up with new rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of MGL32B
  • Excellent/Accurate typing skills
