Job Description

As a member of the Reward team the role will manage the range of non cash benefits on offer to colleagues – this will involve ensuring we have the right benefits package, the correct and duly appointed suppliers for those benefits and that colleagues are fully aware of what benefits are on offer. The management of finance approvals and contract appointments and renewals will be an important element of the role. Branding the benefits under the heading of Wellbeing and working with other colleagues who contribute wellbeing items will be needed. The post holder will apply advanced knowledge of benefits, pensions, and total reward, while contributing to the wider People strategy and driving continuous improvement and engagement outcomes aligned to the People function.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the range of non cash benefits on offer to colleagues
  • Ensure the right benefits package and correct suppliers
  • Ensure colleagues are fully aware of what benefits are on offer
  • Management of finance approvals and contract appointments and renewals
  • Branding the benefits under the heading of Wellbeing
  • Regular and tailored benefits communications personally delivered including ownership of the flexible benefits process
  • Attending governance meetings and driving pensions engagement with colleagues
  • Focus on continual improvement around the key metric of Colleague Engagement in relation to the benefits package
  • Working closely with the wider People team to provide expert knowledge and advice
  • Production of Total Reward Statements for the bonus population

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of benefits, pensions, and total reward
  • Management of benefit arrangements on a cost-effective basis
  • Management of group pension schemes ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Developing and implementing plans and policies to improve the overall employee value proposition
  • Subject matter expert in all aspects of employee reward specialising in benefits and pensions
