Job Description

We are looking for a Benefits Analyst to support benefits administration for a machinery manufacturing organization in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position focuses on coordinating employee benefit programs, resolving enrollment and leave-related matters, and providing analytical support to compensation and benefits operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with benefits processes, open enrollment activities, and Workday, along with the ability to deliver accurate and responsive support across a dynamic HR environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer daily benefits activities, including enrollments, status changes, terminations, and employee updates across applicable programs
  • Coordinate benefit communications and respond to employee questions regarding plan options, eligibility, coverage, and required documentation
  • Support open enrollment by preparing materials, validating elections, and helping ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Review benefits data for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and produce analysis to support compensation and benefits decision-making
  • Manage leave-related benefit administration, including FMLA coordination and tracking in alignment with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Maintain and update employee benefit records in Workday, ensuring information is complete, current, and audit-ready
  • Partner with internal HR contacts, vendors, and payroll stakeholders to resolve benefit issues and improve service delivery
  • Assist with ongoing benefits process improvements and support operational changes, including updates tied to systems or workflow adjustments when needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, benefits coordination, or compensation and benefits support
  • Working knowledge of core benefit functions, including enrollments, employee changes, and leave-related administration
  • Experience handling FMLA processes and maintaining compliance with applicable benefits practices
  • Proficiency with Workday for benefits administration, employee record maintenance, and reporting activities
  • Hands-on involvement in open enrollment planning, execution, or employee support
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review benefits information, identify inconsistencies, and recommend corrective action
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to explain benefit information clearly to employees and cross-functional partners
