We are seeking a skilled Benefits Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This individual should be detail-oriented, experienced in benefits administration, and proactive in problem-solving. In this position, you will play a key role in managing employee benefits inquiries and ensuring smooth communication with external agencies.
Job Responsibility:
Address employee inquiries related to leave of absence policies and benefits, including health, welfare, commuter programs, pay cycles, and eligibility requirements
Manage medical plan details and organizational terms, utilizing public benefits platforms
Maintain effective communication with external agencies in high-pressure situations
Support the coordination and administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with employees and stakeholders
Handle sensitive benefits-related matters with professionalism and discretion
Collaborate with team members to resolve complex benefits issues promptly
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to employee benefits
Stay current on benefits trends and industry standards
Participate in trainings to stay informed about updates to organizational policies and benefits offerings
Requirements:
A minimum of 4–7 years of dedicated experience in benefits administration
Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently solve problems
Exceptional customer service capabilities with proven interpersonal skills
Experience engaging directly with external agencies and managing complex communications
Familiarity with leave of absence policies, benefits programs, and related systems
Knowledge of FMLA and other relevant labor laws
Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
Proficiency in benefits analysis, coordination, and administration
