We are looking for an experienced Benefits Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves managing and optimizing employee benefits programs, with a particular focus on self-funded plans and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and administer employee benefits programs, including self-funded health plans, ensuring smooth operations and compliance
Serve as the subject matter expert for benefits platforms, managing system configurations, maintaining accurate data, and resolving technical issues
Conduct detailed audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with benefits policies
Support the annual open enrollment process, including vendor coordination and communication development
Analyze benefits data to identify trends, project costs, and inform decision-making
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to benefits programs
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to align benefits administration with organizational goals
Develop and present reports on benefits utilization and program effectiveness
Provide guidance to employees regarding benefits options and address inquiries effectively
Assist in managing vendor relationships to ensure service quality and cost-efficiency
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, with a strong focus on self-funded plans
Proficiency in benefits management systems, such as UKG Pro and PlanSource
Solid understanding of benefits compliance regulations and requirements
Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong self-motivation
Nice to have:
Familiarity with handling multi-state or national benefits programs is a plus
Certification in Benefits Analysis or related HR fields is desirable
Experience with FMLA and other employee leave programs is advantageous
Previous experience working with both domestic and international employees is particularly helpful
