This role supports Better Cotton’s mission to drive sustainable practices in cotton production by contributing to the effective implementation of the Benchmarking Programme. By ensuring accurate data integration, aligned licensing processes, and smooth collaboration with recognised standards, the role helps extend Better Cotton’s global reach, safeguards the integrity of its system, and enables partnerships that scale sustainability efforts in key cotton-producing countries.
Job Responsibility:
Support Data and Licensing Processes to ensure Operational Alignment (30%)
Maintain and Process Programme Data to enable Monitoring and Reporting (30%)
Assist in Partnership Engagement to strengthen Collaborative Relationships (20%)
Contribute to Communications and Documentation to highlight Programme Value (10%)

Requirements:
University degree, or equivalent higher education qualification, in a relevant field with an interest in sustainability
Fluency in English and Portuguese with strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience with data management and reporting platforms, such as Salesforce, to support accurate data capture, monitoring, and reporting across programmes
Self‑starter with strong organisational skills and a proven ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to have:
Demonstrated understanding of benchmarking and standards alignment, applying sustainability standards and equivalency assessments to support the integration of external programmes
Experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL), including contributing to the collection and preparation of data for MEL indicators and dashboards
Proven ability to identify process gaps and implement solutions that enhance operational performance
Collaborative working experience, partnering across functions and geographies to deliver shared results
Additional languages relevant to Better Cotton’s work—such as Spanish or Turkish—are considered an asset
