The Bell Captain oversees the Bell and Valet teams to ensure efficient and welcoming guest arrival and departure experiences. This position provides leadership, direction, and training to Bell Attendants while assisting guests with luggage handling, transportation arrangements, and resort information. The Bell Captain plays a key role in upholding Dellshire Resort’s values of hospitality and service excellence, ensuring every guest receives a warm, memorable introduction to their stay.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the daily operations of the Bell and Valet teams to ensure exceptional guest service
Greet all arriving guests warmly, assisting with luggage, parking coordination, and transportation needs
Coordinate luggage storage, deliveries, and retrievals in an organized and timely manner
Monitor lobby activity to ensure prompt attention to all guests and efficient traffic flow
Train, schedule, and coach Bell Attendants and Valet team members to uphold resort service standards
Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the bell stand, lobby, and guest entry areas
Assist in maintaining proper staffing levels and communicate operational needs to the Front Office Manager
Handle guest inquiries, directions, and requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring follow-up and satisfaction
Communicate effectively with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to coordinate guest movements
Ensure team adherence to safety, uniform, and grooming standards
Perform daily inspections of the porte cochère and vehicle staging areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
Act as a working leader by assisting with bell and valet duties as needed during peak times
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
hospitality coursework or degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of bell or guest services experience in a full-service or resort environment
prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
Excellent guest service, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of local attractions, transportation options, and resort amenities
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Professional appearance and demeanor required
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
