Job Description:

Bell and Door Attendant position at The Ritz-Carlton New York NoMad, responsible for greeting guests, assisting with luggage, providing information about property amenities and local areas, arranging transportation, and delivering the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton luxury service.

Job Responsibility:

Greet and escort guests to rooms
Open doors and assist guests/visitors
Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours
Explain room features to guests
Transport guest luggage to/from rooms
Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
Assist guests in/out of vehicles
Supply guests with directions
Arrange transportation for guests
Communicate parking procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
Maintain awareness of undesirable persons
Maintain uniform and professional appearance
Welcome and acknowledge all guests
Assist individuals with disabilities
Speak using clear professional language
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
Develop positive working relationships
Comply with quality assurance standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats
Physical ability to move at required speed (run, walk, jog)
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Move up and down stairs and service ramps
Reach overhead and below knees
Bend, twist, pull, and stoop
