• Crisis Intervention: Utilise positive de-escalation techniques (such as Team Teach or Price) to support students during moments of crisis, ensuring a safe environment for all.
• 1:1 Mentoring: Work closely with assigned students to identify behavioural triggers and implement bespoke 'Positive Behaviour Support' (PBS) plans.
• Social & Emotional Learning: Lead small-group interventions focused on emotional regulation, social cues, and conflict resolution.
• Classroom Integration: Support the class teacher in delivering a modified curriculum, ensuring that lessons are accessible and engaging for students with sensory or cognitive barriers.
• Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of student behaviour and emotional wellbeing, providing high-quality feedback to the SENCO, therapists, and parents.
• Holistic Support: Assist with students' personal development, including building self-esteem, life skills, and independent living strategies.
