Job Responsibility
De-escalation & Crisis Support: Use specialist training to safely manage challenging moments and help students return to a state of calm
Personalised Mentoring: Work 1:1 to implement Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs), using sensory breaks and positive reinforcement to build confidence
Social & Life Skills: Help students develop tools to communicate their needs effectively
Holistic Tracking: Work closely with Therapists, SENCOs, and families to ensure a 360-degree approach to student's well-being and progress
Requirements
Unflappable: calm, non-confrontational manner, composure during high-stress situations
Empathetic: look past challenging behaviour to understand trauma or neurodiversity
Relevant Experience: experience in SEND, youth work, residential care, or a background in Psychology
Committed: enhanced DBS on update service (or willing to apply), dedicated to Safeguarding
