Job Responsibility
De-escalation & Crisis Support: safely manage challenging moments and help students return to a state of calm
Personalised Mentoring: work 1:1 to implement Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) using sensory breaks and positive reinforcement
Social & Life Skills: help students develop tools to communicate needs effectively, reducing acting out
Holistic Tracking: work closely with Therapists, SENCOs, and families for a 360-degree approach
Requirements
Unflappable: calm, non-confrontational manner and can maintain composure during high-stress situations
Empathetic: can look past challenging behaviour to understand the trauma or neurodiversity driving actions
Relevant Experience: experience in SEND, youth work, residential care, or a background in Psychology is highly desirable
Committed: holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
