Job Description:

Play a vital role in improving the quality of life for people with disabilities by developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create meaningful outcomes that encourage independence, inclusion, and dignity.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and deliver evidence-based behaviour support plans tailored to individual needs
Work closely with individuals, families, carers, and other professionals for holistic support
Provide training and guidance to support staff on behaviour support strategies
Regularly review and adjust plans based on progress and evolving needs
Advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities

Requirements:

Background in psychology, social work, or a related field
Familiarity with positive behaviour support frameworks and practices
A self-assessment form (Apply to become an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner) or a completed new/entry-level practitioner declaration form
Experience working with individuals with complex behaviours
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders

Nice to have:

Compassionate and solution-focused approach
Ability to stay calm in challenging situations
Experience with classroom behaviour management plans, safety plans, or wellness recovery action plans
