Job Description:

Are you calm, resilient, and motivated to support young people with behavioural and emotional needs? GSL Education are currently recruiting Behaviour Support / Mentors to work in schools in the Dinnington (S25) area, providing guidance and positive role modelling for students who require additional support. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build strong relationships and help pupils develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive behaviours.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor
  • Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
  • Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (behaviour or mentoring experience desirable)
  • A patient, consistent, and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain professional in challenging situations
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
