Job Description:

James at EdEx is actively recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant in an 'Outstanding' nurturing primary school in Waltham Forest. This role includes supporting a student with Autism (ASD) and behaviour needs (SEMH), working 1-2-1 within school hours. The school values include enriching values, building futures, and unleashing possibilities. It is community-minded and provides support, training, and career growth for staff.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting a boy in Year 1 with Autism (ASD), Behaviour Needs (SEMH)
working 1-2-1 with the boy to best support him
building a nurturing relationship over the remaining academic year
using your initiative to best support him

Requirements:

Kind

able to use initiative
a graduate is ideal but not essential
ambitious with future career aspirations within Psychology
Therapy
Counselling
Support Work
Behaviour
some experience with children with additional needs
great if in a school setting but can also be transferrable skills
