Job Description:

We are working with a specialist provision in Aldershot that supports pupils who require additional help with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation. The school provides a structured and supportive environment for pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education, and they are now looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant on a long-term basis. The school has a strong behaviour support framework in place and offers guidance and support to all staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
  • Supporting pupils to re-engage with learning
  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Experience with behaviour support, SEMH or youth work
  • Resilience and a calm approach
  • Strong communication skills
