Job Description:

EdEx is working with a 'Outstanding' graded Primary school in Waltham Forest to hire a Behaviour Support Assistant. The school values enriching values, unleashing possibilities, and building futures. The role involves supporting a Year 1 student with Autism and Behaviour Needs. Monday-Friday, school hours, term time only.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting a boy in Year 1 with Autism (ASD), Behaviour Needs (SEMH)
working 1-2-1 with the boy to best support him
building a nurturing relationship over the remaining academic year
working Monday-Friday, school hours – long term until at least July 2026

Requirements:

Kind
caring
compassionate
resilient and able to use initiative
a graduate is ideal, but not essential
ambitious with future career aspirations within
psychology
therapy
counselling
support work
behaviour
some experience with children with additional needs
great if in a school setting
but can also be transferrable skills
