Job Description

Justteachers is looking for a caring and committed Behaviour Support Assistant to help children thrive in the classroom. This role is to work in a vibrant primary school in Norwich on a long-term supply basis. This role is due to start in January 2026. This school offers a welcoming school community with a supportive team and lots of development opportunities for both staff and pupils.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils with their learning, both in class and in small groups
  • Provide 1:1 support for students personally or academically struggling
  • Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
  • Helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Experience working in a education or childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and a passion for childcare
  • Two recent school or education based references
  • Strong behaviour management skills
