Job Description:

Behaviour Mentor role supporting children with Autism and complex behavioural needs in a mainstream Secondary School. Working alongside pupils with SEMH needs who require additional guidance from a positive role model.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting children with SEMH & complex behavioural needs
Supporting everyday routine and keeping them engaged and motivated to learn
Encouraging the development of students' social skills
Working within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
Supporting and complying with the school's safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

2:1 or First-class degree from a reputable University
Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health
Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
Experience in a previous role or personal experience in SEN is desirable
Calm and compassionate nature

Nice to have:

Experience in a previous role or personal experience in SEN
Psychology/Criminology graduate background
