Job Description:

Behaviour Mentor - SEN School, Sefton. Are you a highly effective and resilient professional looking to apply your expertise in positive behaviour support? A supportive SEN school in Sefton is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team. This is an immediate-start, full-time, long-term position working with students aged 11-16. Job Responsibility:

Deliver focused interventions to pupils facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) barriers
Execute proactive behaviour management techniques that foster a structured and nurturing atmosphere within the classroom and wider school
Establish meaningful, confidential relationships with students, acting as a trusted guide and advocate
Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to refine and apply personalised student support plans
Inspire and motivate students to develop self-regulation skills and achieve academic milestones

Requirements:

A minimum of six months demonstrable experience in a UK-based school setting, supporting young people
A strong track record in de-escalation techniques and delivering effective emotional support
Exceptional ability to connect with students, communicate clearly, and liaise effectively with colleagues
A required blend of patience, fortitude, and a deep commitment to the welfare and growth of adolescents
Consistent full-time commitment is required (typical hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Possession of a current Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to immediately undergo the application process
