Job Description:

This mainstream Secondary School located in the Borough of Islington is looking for a hard-working, resilient graduate to join their team. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs, working in classrooms and smaller groups, and ensuring their engagement and motivation.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom
Encourage the development of the students’ social skills
Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
Support and comply with the school’s safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University
Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health
Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable
Calm and compassionate nature
