Behaviour Mentor role supporting pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs in a mainstream Secondary School. Working as a positive and assertive role model to support students' everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting children with SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom
Encourage the development of students' social skills
Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
2:1 or First-class degree from a reputable University
Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health
Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
Experience in a previous role or personal experience in SEN is desirable
Calm and compassionate nature
Nice to have:
Psychology/Criminology graduate
Previous experience supporting children with Autism
Experience with SEMH & complex behavioural needs
