Affinity Workforce Solutions are working with an outstanding special school called The Skills Hub which aims to provide innovative education and a challenging environment for pupils aged 5 to 19. The school specialises in educating pupils with a wide range of Social, Emotional and mental health needs. The Skills Hub is a co-educational Alternative provision for pupils in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. It holds pupils, many of whom have been, or at risk of, permanent exclusion. In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health and SEN needs of pupils in mainstream and SEN schools. Affinity Workforce Solutions are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 or general classroom basis to start ASAP, for the rest of the Academic Year in a range of schools across West Drayton.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom
  • Running activities with pupils outside the classroom
  • Providing support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students
  • Supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting
  • Enthusiasm about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people
  • Comfortable with running activities with pupils outside the classroom
  • Ability to provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students
