Job Description

Affinity Partnerships are working with an outstanding special school called The Skills Hub which aims to provide innovative education and a challenging environment for pupils aged 5 to 19. The school specialises in educating pupils with a wide range of Social, Emotional and mental health needs. The Skills Hub is a co-educational Alternative provision for pupils in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. It holds pupils, many of whom have been, or at risk of, permanent exclusion. In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health and SEN needs of pupils in mainstream and SEN schools. Affinity Workforce Solutions are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 or general classroom basis to start ASAP, for the rest of the Academic Year in a range of schools across West Drayton (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Youth Mental health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students.
