Job Description

Do you have a passion for supporting children to overcome challenges and thrive in school? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a friendly primary school in Littlehampton. This role focuses on providing 1:1 support to a pupil with behavioural needs, helping them engage positively with learning and school life.

Job Responsibility

  • Working closely with a child to manage behaviour and build positive routines
  • Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and social skills
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to create a supportive environment
  • Encouraging confidence and resilience through tailored interventions

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with behavioural or social/emotional needs
  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships
  • Commitment to helping every child succeed
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
