Job Description:

Be part of something brand new. Briarwood South, a specialist secondary SEN school opening in May in Knowle West, is looking for an experienced and energetic Behaviour & Inclusion Practitioners to join its founding team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand‑new provision created by Briarwood School, an Ofsted Outstanding setting known for exceptional practice and a strong, supportive ethos. We’re ideally seeking someone who can start sooner at the Briarwood site in Fishponds to gain hands‑on training and experience before moving to the new school.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading tailored 1:1 and small‑group intervention sessions
  • Offering responsive support throughout the school day when pupils require additional help
  • Assisting with learning across the secondary curriculum
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and wider staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality support
  • Contributing to the development of routines, expectations, and culture within a brand‑new school environment

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
  • Confident SEN practitioner with experience of complex needs
  • Skilled in behaviour support and communication strategies
  • Emotionally resilient, creative, and ready to help build a new school culture
  • Passionate about inclusion and personalised learning
