Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring Behavior Technicians to join our Southwest Autism Center of Excellence Program. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. This program is community based so you may work in clients’ home, community or office setting. Rewarding position with an opportunity to interact with our clients daily. You will have the opportunity to be a pivotal change maker in the lives of clients teaching them many skills to become more independent. Leading both one-on-one and small group learning; no two days are the same. You will be a key component in helping our valued clients with self-care, skill building, copping strategies and improving their quality of life.
Job Responsibility:
Implement, record and summarize data for prescribed client's individualized treatment and behavior protocols
Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, incidental teaching and social skills training
Assist with family and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment and behavior protocols
Effectively communicate with families and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Utilize safe & appropriate crisis management procedures when working with clients
Collaborate with treatment team including client, families and caregivers, outside professionals, Behavior Technician, ABA Interns and co-workers
Requirements:
Minimum 21 years of age
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience in special education, developmental disabilities, or respite care
Valid Arizona driver's license
Personal auto insurance per SBH guidelines
Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire
Nice to have:
Experience in autism, respite care, working with DDD population, special education, or general behavioral health experience
