Job Description:

The Beach Club Supervisor is responsible for the planning, organization, staffing of beach club personnel and overall operations of the Beach club facility. This position will ensure efficient and effective oversight of the Beach Club team members and guests while maintaining the highest level of customer service in a fun filled and safe environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Beach Club, including staffing, guest services, and facility maintenance
  • Ensure all Beach Club areas are clean, well-maintained, and in excellent condition
  • Manage beach club amenities, such as cabanas, loungers, and water sports equipment, ensuring they are available and in good working order
  • Greet guests warmly and ensure they have a pleasant and enjoyable experience at the Beach Club
  • Address and resolve any guest issues, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally
  • Provide guests with information about Beach Club amenities, activities, and services
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or maintenance issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Manage Beach Club inventory, including supplies and equipment, and handle ordering and restocking as needed
  • Assist with general requests for information, assistance and/or complaints from guests and escalates to Beach Club Manager or Guest Experience Manager
  • Uphold environmental policies and procedures
  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Comply with the safety competencies and all company policies
  • Adhere to the company’s standards regarding dress and appearance
  • Extend appropriate greeting to all guests and crew at every opportunity using their names
  • Always apply hospitality standards in guest and crew areas
  • Follow all safety regulations during duty
  • Follow all environmental, company and HESS policies and procedures as applicable for the position
  • Complete work logs and report any issues to the Beach Club Manager
  • Assist with management and maintenance of all equipment
  • Report all repairs to be made in assigned section, especially safety related issues and follow-up with management as necessary
  • Advise any guest challenges immediately to the Beach Club & Guest Experience Manager
  • Assist the Beach Club & Guest Experience Manager with tasks as requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality or recreational setting, with at least 1-2 years in a beach or poolside environment
  • Proven experience in managing teams, customer service, and facility operations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on guest satisfaction
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to beach and pool environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft office suite skills
  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures
  • Must be physically fit
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically
  • Previous work experience preferred
