Do you want to help drive the transition to electric vehicles, supporting battery and clean tech manufacturing in Europe? Do you want to boost investments in a truly sustainable and just industrial transformation? Transport & Environment (T&E), Europe's leading clean transport think tank and campaign group, is looking to strengthen its battery supply chains and investments team. As T&E’s batteries and investments intern, you will support policy strategies to secure circular, resilient and responsible battery value chains, and related cleantech investments, in Europe.
Job Responsibility
Providing research and analysis for the team, both on request and for longer-term projects on the topics of battery supply chains, minerals, circularity and cleantech investments
Attend events and meetings with stakeholders, reporting back to the team when relevant
Analyzing amendments and policy proposals put forward by different EU institutions, member states and stakeholders in order to develop arguments to steer these closer towards T&E’s position
Monitoring and updating the team on any recent developments in the batteries and raw materials industry and in the cleantech investments space
Supporting coalition building with other NGOs and think tanks
Drafting concise and informative briefings and other communication material
Helping to organize events (online and in person)
Supporting with grant reporting related to batteries, raw materials and investments
Requirements
Ideally, you have some knowledge of EU policy-making, and the batteries and/or raw materials space, cleantech investments as well as a general interest in climate and environmental policy
Good interpersonal skills are essential, as well as a great level in English
Candidates should be able to work autonomously and collaboratively
